Free Plants

I am going to take out my plants next to the house
in the back yard. If anyone wants some please let me
know right away. I am just going to have grass grow
there instead of the plants. The grass wants to anyway.
It is called Periwinkle or Myrtle.
It is free for the taking, I will even bring it to you.
It comes back every year and makes for a nice ground
cover. It has these little purple flowers on it in the spring.

Pelicans

The Pelicans have come to Ponds Park
They are so big, and fun to watch.
Dad saw one take a fish away from another
bird on Saturday.

Key Club

I am an adviser for the Key Club at Davis High,
It is a service club where the kids do service
a lot. We had our Regional Convention in Boise
Idaho this last weekend. I went with 5 girls from
the High school, they are really great girls.
I stayed up till midnight or one o'clock every night.
I was so tired. Thank for taking such good care
of Dad while I was gone.

Fund Raiser

I am the Adviser for the Key Club at Davis High. It is a service club, we go and do all kinds of service in the community. We are having a fund raiser right now, we are selling Lunch Plus cards. They work like a happenings book, only you don't have the coupons. You can use it as many times as you want, every day if you want to at the same place. Plumbing Problems

What a great guy I am married to.

Saturday night I went downstairs to find some paper
for my primary lesson, and discovered our water
heater was leaking.
Max was able to put in a new one by Monday night.
You should have seen the two of us getting the old one out of
the basement.
We were without water for a couple of days,
but I am so glad that he could fix it, he saved us a ton of money,
and we know it is fixed right. Graydon helped us get a great deal
on a new one.

Just last week I put in a load of wash and turned on the washer
and one of the water hoses burst. Water went everywhere, I am so
glad we were home when that happened. We went to
Home Depot and bought new
water hoses and replaced them.
We were back in business in no time.
I am just plain lucky to be married
to such a handy man! Thanks Max,

Earth Day

So am I going GREEN or what?
I need all of your recyclable paper!
To Celebrate Earth Day, April 22nd,
We are having a contest at Davis High
A company is going to bring 3 dumbsters (yes I said Dumbsters)
to the high school next week. We are going to have a contest
Between the classes (10th, 11th, & 12th grades)
to see who can recycle the most paper.
I am so afraid that no one will bring anything! and the bins
will go back empty. If you have any paper, magazines, phone books etc.
call me and I will come and get them.
Can you tell I am in charge of this!!
We need to fill up the dumsters.

9th grade Career Fair

Today I spent all day at the Davis County fair grounds. It was for a 9th grade Career Fair, I watched The Odgen Standard Examiner Journalist play with a Yo Yo.

It started out as a very windy, but warm morning. But then it turned so cold. I go back and do it again tomorrow, and it is going to rain and snow. I am a door monitor, (not letting any 9th graders out unless they had their chaperon), and it gets pretty cold there.

More fun at the party

I finally have a Blog

Cindy helped me set up my blog page last night,
We had a Birthday party for everyone who was born
in April Daniel Widdison, Janay, Valerie and Emily.
The party is really for the kids and a way for us to
all get together. I think Emily had a great time. My
girls always decide who won on the gift poll, and I
think Janay won this time. She found an Ariel doll that
can go in the water, Emily didn't put it down after she
opened it. The rest of us don't feel bad, because she
will like our gifts eventually.
Max set the slide up for the summer, he found it at the dump
last summer, I hate it when he does that, but this has been
a hit with the grandkids.
Anna gave Emily an Ariel book, Abby read it to all of the
kids, it was so sweet. They all sat around her on the steps
and listened to the story. She is getting so big
It is great to get together. We don't have any birthdays in
May, so we get together for Cinco De Mayo. (I am getting excited for that!
