I came home from work on Wednesday night and cleaned out the sink. I noticed that it had water standing in the bottom and wouldn't drain. I thought,
"I know how to take care of this"
I had just purchased a whole case of bleach, so I dumped one whole gallon down the drain and rain hot water into the sink. It still wouldn't drain, so I ran a few errands, and picked up a plunger at family dollar. When I got back the drain hadn't moved at all. I started plunging and it still didn't move. I took some of the water out, came back and started plunging again. I did that for over an hour and it didn't do a thing. I had my home teacher come over and realized after he broke a pipe that he really didn't know what he was doing. I woke Max up, by then the plumbing was all apart under the sink and the plug was not in any of those pipes. He had to go to work, I went to bed and went to work the next day. Thursday when we got home he cut a pipe in the basement
and found the worst plugged pipe I have ever seen. There was no space for anything to get passed it. This picture shows a space, we had no space at all. He cleaned it out and put everything back together again. I am in awe of his skills. He saved us so much money!
What a sweet guy!! I don't know what I would do without him.

I don't know if I want to ask this but what was it clogged with? Surely not red hair.
Dad, I am glad I taught you how to be a plumber. ;)
Yeah, David.
It was plugged with corn from David cleaning his fish in the sink.
Mom and Anna thought I'd be upset when they told me about it so they sent Lincoln upstairs to wake me up!
Thanks for teaching me, David. I'm glad I taught you how to throw discus!
I don't know what all the fuss was over this. I just ended up having to go in the basement and cut a pipe. I lucked out and cut it right in the middle of the plug. It looked mostly like it was just stuff that had been put in the sink instead of the disposal plus not enough water. I think it was pretty good for over twenty years.
