Blair Boys Father's & Son's Campout

Daniel invited Dad to go to his Wards Annual
Father's & Son's camp out Friday night.
It was 70 miles away and neither of them really wanted to go that far away.
So Dad came up with a great idea to have the very first
Blair Father's and Son's camp out.
We put up a tent in the back yard and he had all kinds of activities planned.
With just four grandsons in this family Max thought it would be a piece of cake.
Lincoln and Joshua came first all by themselves.

The first activity was a treasure hunt. They were all Pirates

Then Graydon & Daniel came and they went on another treasure hunt!

Then on to a Buffalo Hunt

No camp out would be complete without a Marshmellow Roast

Next they went in the tent and watched cartoons on Grandpa's portable DVD Player

Lincoln and Andrew spent the night and had pancakes and bacon for breakfast on the deck.
Everyone had a great time. Maybe we will have one again next year!!

I didn't realize Lincoln didn't have a shirt on(what with everthing else going on).
Lincoln,(the shirtless one in the tent,it's how his mom sent him) was really enjoying him self and was being his usually wide awake full of life self. Daniel promptly went to sleep on the single bed, leaving me with Andrew and Lincoln sharing the big bed. I kept telling myself, this is for them, not you, when they were screaming or yelling. As we finally settled down, Lincoln laid his head down next to me, looked me in the eyes, and said "Grampa, thanks for being pirates and taking us on a treasure hunt." And right then, I knew this would be an annual event.

thank you so much grandpa. My favorite part was going hunting with the boys. I liked the marshmallows, graydon buried one with fire. it wasn't good. i liked sleeping by grandpa and listening for trains.

What a fun tradition to start! The boys will always remember how much fun they had sleeping out in the back yard!

P.S. Great documentation by the way
P.S.S. If a Mother-Daughter Sleepover is started, I may be available to serve or cater or whatever...
